When recording the output from MIDI tracks to audio tracks using Wave record the volume is to low. I don't know how to control this. The result is that the recorded wave track has a very poor level.
BTW, I have disabled the Codec on my EWS64 since it is so noisy.
Please help, getting desperate.

Hi!
If you have EWS64XL and use by own sounds, try this. Connect digital out to digital in (fornt panel).Set record digital in. No noise, no level problem or clitching.

Thanks for the tip Hati, I will try this later today.
Another question: I have the same problem (the low levels) when recording from IN-2 (audio in). I'm not sure, but it can partly be a problem with the output signal of the JV1010 (which I record this way), but I also get low levels from my microphone (connected to a Tubeamp and lined in to IN-2).
Will the sollution you proposed work for the IN-2 as well? I want to be able to switch between Mix record and Audio in record!
best regards

Hi! Bjorn
I have allso JV1010 directly IN 2 and but i dont have that kind a problem and when i record vocal or guitar or bass i use little mixer by using IN 1 or IN 2(wave record). This what i propose (digital record) helps you avoid all you computer electrical problems when you want made mixdown. Sorry i dont understand what you mean mix record?

Hi Hati,
by Mix record and Audio in record I mean the switch in the FX panel to choose between recording an audio signal and the signal from the mixer (for the EWS synth).
I'm a little confused; when I record the IN-2 signal (JV-1010) I turn the IN-2 fader to the top to get the maximum recording level. On the JV-1010 I turned the volume knob to the maximum also. But; when recording in the sequencer (with wave record) the recorded level is very poor). What do I do wrong?
best

Hi Bjorn!
Sorry this could be a stupid question. But are you using 44.1kHz? Are you using cubase? Try to record JV1010 In-1 is the result still poor? If you need mixer setting? i dont know how i can send that to you?
Yours Hati

Hi Bjorn!
Do you have still a problem to record your JV1010? So try this.
I upload mixer settings in EWS64/Downloadpage/miscellaneus/recews&ext.ttm. That is what i use, and works fine.
(It records both in same time EWS64&JV1010 in1). I use in2 to record vocal,guitar,bass...
